These
paintings are about Zen-like, peaceful spaces, spaces that
are contained, non-threatening, comforting. Soothing, like
the quiet, soft feeling of snow falling in winter. These are
spaces that the viewer can enter and where he can get lost
in his own reverie.
I
am interested in two spaces together and their relationship
to each other. Where does one finish and the other begin?
In our lives, what is the defining line between being active
and being passive?
Air.
Blue, white, intangible, transparent. Intangible are the most
important parts of our existence. Our intellectual activity,
emotional states, spiritual life. Transparent through the
air are a multitude of secrets.

Much of the work is acrylic and there are series of works on paper, including watercolour, mixed media collages.
One series that I have been working on recently is the concept of NOW: a reminder to live for the present. The beauty and the intensity of the present moment. Another series of present research is on the idea of Links and Lines of Separarion.
I have participated in many jured froup shows and have had a number of sol shows, both locally and internationally. My work is represented in collections across Canada, as well as the US, Europe and Australia.
